Criminal Defense Attorney, Michelle Suskauer, spoke to the Special Prosecutors Program at the State Attorney’s Office for the Fifteenth Judicial Circuit, on Plea Negotiations from the Defense Perspective; on April 20, 2009 at 2:30pm.
“I began my career as a public defender of the Fifteenth Judicial Circuit Court in Palm Beach County; and I was more than happy to speak with the Special Prosecutors Program,” says Suskauer. “Ultimately, we share in the same objective—to better serve our community.”
The Special Prosecutors Program consist of twelve private attorneys appointed (at any one time) by The State Attorney’s Office (SAO) of the Fifteenth Judicial Circuit as special assistants to the State Attorney, Michael F. McAuliffe, to help represent the SAO in County Criminal Court matters. The specials’ duties will include case preparation, witness preparation/interviews, trials (bench and jury) and case management.
