Michelle R. Suskauer, a criminal defense trial attorney and partner in the West Palm Beach-based Suskauer Law Firm, was inducted into the Palm Beach County Bar Association as President-Elect.
The Bar hosted its Annual Installation Banquet at the Breakers Hotel in Palm Beach on Saturday, June 7, to honor and recognize its newest board members. Suskauer, a Board Certified Criminal Trial Attorney, is dedicated to helping individuals and assisting families of loved ones who have been wrongfully accused of a crime. Suskauer specializes in the defense of juvenile crimes, domestic violence, violent crimes, drug crimes, alcohol related crimes, sexual offenses, white collar crimes and federal crimes.
Michelle has been a member of the Palm Beach County Bar Association for more than 15 years and just completed her second two-year term on the Board of Directors. She is also the Past Chair of the Bench Bar Conference, the Judicial Relations Committee and the Criminal Practice Committee.
“I have continuously worked to give back to our profession and community, both of which I feel so fortunate to be a part of,” Suskauer said. “I am truly honored to be elected to this position and will lead our Bar Association with focus, dedication and enthusiasm. One of my priorities as President will be to promote mentoring between Bar members and our local schools.”
Michelle has held leadership roles as a Board Member of the Legal Aid Society of the Palm Beach County serving as its Pro Bono Recognition Evening Co-Chair in 2007 and 2008; and served as the Past-President of the Florida Association for Women Lawyers (Palm Beach County Chapter) where she started a mentoring program for at-risk juvenile offenders, a program adopted statewide. She is AV rated and included in Martindale-Hubbell’s Bar Register of Preeminent Lawyers, and is also a nationally known TV and radio legal analyst.
The Palm Beach County Bar Association is a non-profit organization, which was founded in 1922 and incorporated in 1965.
